I came across this fella, Phil Noto, while on Pinterest.  This happens to me often.  This is where I discovered Francavilla, Michael Cho, Alex Toth, Lee Weeks, Breitweiser and others.  These are staples for many but I’m just starting out.  What I like about Noto is, as with Francavilla, his retro style.  He is also a bit of a minimalist.  His characters seem to be like silk, if that makes sense.  They seem to almost flow.  They seem like they can be blown away and might disappear if you aren’t paying attention, like a snowflake.  They are simple yet beautiful.   I’m no art expert, just an amateur and his thoughts. He is very unique.  He does both interiors and covers.  Hopefully my examples will encourage you to check out some of his work!  Phil Noto everybody…
